Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
Although Community Supported Agriculture has been around for over 20 years, it's recently been gaining even more popularity with consumers.
Basically, you buy a share (or subscription or membership) with a local farmer. In exchange for your "share", the farmer provides you with farm fresh products during the growing season.
It's a win-win arrangment. The farmer gets much-needed cashflow and doesn't have to spend as much time and effort in marketing his/her products. The consumer--that's you--gets fresh farm products directly from the farm.
