Calendula Close-up
A close up of a calendula flower. I love their golden orange glow.

Chamomile
Here is my little container of chamomile growing in front of one of my zucchini tubs. Chamomile spreads its seeds like crazy. So unless you want these sweet little daisy-like flowers coming up all over your vegetable beds, grow them separately.

Nasturtium
Consider growing nasturtiums in your vegetable garden. They're another edible flower that attracts beneficial insects. And they look great growing at the feet of scarlet runner beans.

Calendula
Related to marigolds, calendula flowers are edible, attract beneficial insects & can be used in topical lotions for their soothing properties. They come in many colors, but I'm particularly fond of these with the golden orange glow.

Scarlet Runners
I don't think the flowers on a scarlet runner bean plant are edible. But the bees, butterflies and hummingbirds sure do love them. My vegetable garden is close to a community sidewalk. Many people stop to admire my garden because of these large plants with the scarlet flowers.
